Margaret was a Southern Lady, born in Jacksonville, FL, and raised in Hamlet, NC, who never lost her twang, her love of her family, or her love for her Savior Jesus. She was a poet and a keen observer of people. Even to the end, when Alzheimer’s disease had stolen so much from her, she never lost her smile or gentle demeanor.

Margaret walked our in our neighborhood almost as much as I do. She never failed to have a word or a smile for me. She always encouraged me on and had positive words. A rarity in this world.
