Lorraine B. Nierzwicki passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 97 years old. Preceded in death by beloved husband Walter E. Nierzwicki; married for 69 years. Loving mother of five children, Paul (Denise), JoAnn (Michael), Lori (Jerry), John (Christine), Lisa (late Jerry). Dear Grandmother of 7 and Great-grandmother (Oma) of 9. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lorraine in addition to raising five children, worked for RitzHolman CPA firm for 20+ years as a statistical typist. Lorraine had a good sense of humor and was always the life of the party.  Lorraine loved to entertain and hosted parties for family and friends throughout her life. She was known for being fashionable with matching jewelry and handbags for every outfit and always wearing her lipstick.  She enjoyed camping with the family and was also an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan.

Lorraine and Wally liked to travel and took a trip of lifetime in 1986 to Asia and Europe. Yet, she loved Las Vegas (she was known as Ma Barker at Slots of Fun) and only stopped gambling when her eyesight failed. She took a keen liking to horse racing and became a frequent visitor to the Kentucky Thoroughbred Club and attended the races at Keeneland along with the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby 5 times. The Breeders Cup twice, was also on her resume. She had a wit and was a charmer and passed away with her mind sharper than a tack.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 9:00am-11:00am followed by a Mass at 11:00am at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH 3160 S. 63rd St.
