Dorothy J. Lynch (nee Kreil) of Oak Creek, WI peacefully passed into eternal life on Sunday, November 26th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 5th, 1948.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of her husband of over 51 years, Timothy J. Lynch. She was also a loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all she met.  She is survived by her husband, daughter Lisa (Matt) Koch, son Todd (Jeannine) Lynch, grandchildren Nicholas, Cael, Tiana, Oliver, and Nathaniel, her sister Barbara (Bob) Formaker, brother Leonard (Patricia) Kreil, brother-in-law Bill (Pat) Lynch, sister-in-law Janet (Wayne) Klamecki along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Evelyn Kreil, in-laws John and Lucile Lynch and brother-in-law Patrick Lynch.

Being a mother was her calling.  She took pride in raising her two children and supporting them in everything they did.  She then went on to work in the health care field for over 27 years, finishing her career as a certified medical coder.

She was the perpetual giver.  Whether it be helping to watch her grandchildren when they were young, crocheting baby blankets for every new addition to the family (and then continuing to make more to donate to the local hospital), making sure there were way too many presents for everyone at Christmas time or preparing huge meals at every family gathering. Ensuring that other people were happy is what made her heart happy.

The simple things in life are what she loved the most.  Playing cribbage and sheepshead with family and friends or going out to dinner was her idea of a perfect evening. She and Tim spent many a Sunday evening at Olympic Lanes for their couples bowling league with Bob and Barb while their kids begged for quarters to feed the games in the arcade.  She loved spending time “up north” with her family and became quite the fisherman, often times hauling in the biggest catch of the day.  In retirement she and Tim enjoyed bus trips with close friends to casinos, where again, she tended to be the luckiest one!

We are all better people because Dorothy was a part of our lives.  Please join us to celebrate her life. Services will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church 7219 S. 27th Street Franklin, WI 53132.  Visitation will be from 9:00am – 11:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.

A very special thank you to all of the amazing health care workers that helped her in her battle the past 5 years, specifically, Dr. Buggy, Dr. Siegal, Fresenius Dialysis Center, The Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and the staff at Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital and ICU.

If inclined, memorials may be made to the Cancer Center at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center or Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

My deepest sympathy to Dorothy’s family. Dorothy and I went to grade school and high school together. We connected a few years ago and enjoyed a great breakfast together. Rest in peace my dear friend.
