Joined her beloved husband of 51 years, Dennis in Heaven on Monday, December 12, 2022 at age 73. Loving mother of Jennifer (the late Conrad) Simpson, Brian Brooks, and Cynthia Pickard. Cherished grandmother of Austin, Jared, Morgan, and Caleb Brooks, Tara and Jacob Pardue, Emilie, William, Matthew, and Kaitlynn Pickard. Caring sister of Sandra (the late Tom) Anderson. Sister-in-law to Kathy (John Radtke) Brooks, Nancy (DuWayne) Schaenzer, Barbara (late Keith) Struthers, John (the late Mary) Brooks, David (Sarah) Brooks, the late Ray (Judy) Brooks, the late Alvin (late Shirley) Brooks, and the late Howard (late Gertrude) Brooks. Further survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Linda was involved with the Girl Scout troops #206 and #369 for over 20 years and enjoyed camping at Alice Chester. Her greatest joy was helping her two daughters earn badges throughout the years.

Linda retired from Milwaukee Public Schools on June 18, 2014 after 22 years of dedicated service as a teaching assistant, and was a lifetime member of St. John’s Evan. Lutheran Church in West Milwaukee.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

    I’m so sorry to hear this. I worked with Linda at Lincoln Ave School for many years. She was always someone you could count on. She was beautiful and kind inside and out. RIP lovely lady!

    Linda was my 2nd mom growing up and my Girl Scout leader for years.. She had a good impact on my life and she will be missed.
