LaVerne E. Behrens

“Beanie”

LaVerne was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband LeRoy “Roy” D. Behrens, on her birthday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 97. LaVerne and LeRoy were married over 67 years and their union brought 4 blessed children into the world.

LaVerne was the loving mother of LeRoy (Michele) Behrens, Tom (Terri) Behrens, Cindy (Jeff) Knepper, and Brenda (David) Prochnow. Cherished grandmother of Jami (Jesse) Radant, Danielle (David) Northwood, Nikki (Ben) Sheppard, Tommy (Abbie) Behrens, Tim (Nichole) Behrens, Jessica (Andy Westman) Witynski, Amanda Knepper, Alex Knepper, Matthew Knepper, Tara Prochnow, and Alyssa (Mike Buretta) Prochnow. Proud great-grandmother of Dash Behrens-Nikolish, Brianna Behrens, Ben Sheppard Jr., Ava Northwood, Alton Northwood, Mila Northwood, Elliotte Behrens, Rosalie Behrens, Lennon Behrens, Nash Behrens, Milo Knepper, Jaxson Witynski, Sterling Witynski, Amorina Witynski, Chase Witynski, Levi Westman, and Zander Westman. LaVerne is also survived by brother David Michel, sisters-in-law Marilyn and Eileen Behrens and Ramona Michel, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Although her family will miss her and her baking greatly, we take comfort in the fact that she is now back in the loving arms of our Dad and our Lord.

LaVerne’s family wishes to thank the many nieces and nephews who took time over the years to stop by and visit with her – you brightened her days more than you will ever know. They also would like to thank the Staff of Aurora Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

Visitation Friday, June 6, 2025 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 13207 County Road G, Caledonia from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at the Church Cemetery.

Even though I never met your Mom, she sounds like a wonderful lady. Peace be with you and your family.
