Gengler, Kit Ann, 55. Passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. Beloved daughter of the late Laurants and Mildred (née Bundy) Gengler. Cherished sister of Susan (Armin) Liermann, Eva, the late Frederick and Patrick (Barb) Gengler. Adored aunt of Andrew (Chloe), the late Jimmy and Stephan Gengler. Further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.

Kit was a beautiful, sweet and happy little girl who enriched our lives beyond measure. She brought joy to all who knew her and will remain forever in our hearts. Kit was the light of our lives, and my brother, sister and I are comforted to know that she is reunited with our parents. She was our gift from God, lived her life fully and embraced every opportunity to dance, swim, camp and travel. She loved wholeheartedly and was loved deeply. We are, and will remain, eternally grateful for this heaven-sent angel.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and caregivers of Legacy Hospice, Castle Gardens CBRF, The St. Ann’s Center, Curative and The Threshold adult day-care centers for their love, care and support of our dear sister, Kit and her family. Special thanks to the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin and the DS Clinic at Children’s Hospital for their guidance. Kit was a 1988 graduate of Pleasant View High School, Milwaukee.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 16, from 10am-12pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (8500 W Cold Spring Rd, Greenfield) with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12pm. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery will immediately follow mass.

Angel…. Kit, you were an Angel that God let us borrow. You bought so much joy to our lives and were always so happy to everyone around you. You were an inspiration to all. You left a mark in everyone you met. I might not have known you too long. But I remember the smile and your dolly. We were so happy to meet our new found cousins and you were there for that!

Eva and Susan. Know our hearts are you both always. No matter the distance we will always have each other. Love you all.

    Tim and Yvonne Gengler
