Kenneth  Trossen

Kenneth “Ken” Trossen passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2026, at the age of 79.

Ken was the cherished husband of Diane for more than 55 years and the loving father of Christoffer. He was the dear brother-in-law of Jeffrey and Linda Kroeger, Kelly and David Plumb, and James Cutting. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Anne Trossen, and his sister-in-law, Joyce Cutting.

Ken was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and raised in Manitowoc until the death of his father. His mother later moved to Milwaukee with Ken and his sister when Ken was in the sixth grade. It was there, in sixth grade, that Ken met Diane, beginning a relationship that would become the foundation of a long and devoted marriage.
Ken began studying accounting at MSOE, but when he knew he would be drafted, he chose to join the United States Air Force. While serving, Ken and Diane became engaged. He served three tours in Vietnam and was also stationed in Korea and Japan.

After returning from the service in 1970, Ken and Diane were married. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, again studying accounting, before leaving school just a few credits short to begin working. Over the years, he worked in accounting departments for several manufacturing companies and was always a steady, dedicated provider for his family.

Ken and Diane welcomed their son, Chris, in 1973. Ken loved golf and enjoyed watching science fiction shows. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor, for always having an opinion, and for liking to get the last word.

Ken also gave generously of his time. He volunteered at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cudahy serving 3 years as church president, 12 years as a church secretary, as well as serving on the church council, ushering, and helping out at the church grade school. He was an example of living his faith within his church community. He also volunteered for many years at the concession stand at Wisconsin Lutheran High School during football, basketball, wrestling, and soccer games, at times even taking responsibility for purchasing food for the stand.

Ken will be remembered with love for his devotion to his family, his service to his country, his strong work ethic, his generous volunteer spirit, and the humor and opinions that made him unmistakably himself.

Family and friends will gather at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3775 E. Cudahy Avenue, Cudahy, WI 53110 on Saturday, August 15, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 PM.

If you wish to honor Ken’s memory with a donation, the family suggests memorials be given to the Church.
