Born to eternal life on Saturday April 4, 2026, at the age of 84 years.
She is preceeded in death by her late parents, Harold Nilsson and Dorothy (Siepe) Nilsson.
Karin is deeply missed by her devoted husband Larry, married 62 years, and their daughter Kellie (Marc) Whitlock.
Karin’s pride and joy were her three grandchildren Rachel (Rob) Angevine, Matthew Bohlman, and Macaylah Whitlock.
She loved being a great-grandma to Katlynn, Wyatt and Emmylou.
Her brother Bob held a special place in her heart and she was grateful for her cousins, brother and sister-in-laws, nephews and nieces.
A memorial service is to be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home, 4800 S. 84th St. Greenfield, WI, 53228. The visitation hour will take place there from 10am to 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kellie Whitlock who will then make a donation to the classroom of Karin’s special needs granddaughter, Macaylah.
My deepest sympathies to family and friends of Karin. I met Karin while working in the early 70’s. So many years ago. Always fun to have worked a shift with her. Kindness and compassion were ever present. I had occasion to speak with her in later years while she worked for a school. I was in another district but periodically would need to share data. Keeping you all in my prayers.
I was never lucky enough to know Karyn. But I know this: she must have been a terrific mother because of her daughter Kellie Whitlock, a gift from God.. Rest in Peace, Karyn.
