Judith Lynn Flauaus (Nee Hauser)

Judith L (nee Hauser) Flauaus, age 82, was called to eternal life on Sunday, August 30th 2026, after gracefully managing a progressive bone marrow disorder and blood cancer for 29 years.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry, and her parents, Fredrick and Marjorie (nee Lowry) Hauser.

She was a devoted mother to Julie (Paul) Arend and proud grandmother, better known as “Gaga”, to Abby (fiancé Isaiah) and Ben Arend.

Dear sister of Jill (the late John) Helm, Jack (Mary) Hauser, and Dr. Jay F. Hauser.

Beloved sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many.

Judy was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 25th 1944, but spent most of her life living in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Afton High School in 1962 she attended Miss Hickey’s School for Secretaries. She worked as an executive secretary at Mercantile Bank in St. Louis before marrying her beloved husband Henry in August of 1967.

They shared 53 years of marriage before Henry’s passing in 2020. In the early 1970’s they lived in the San Jose area of California for 7 years, where their daughter Julie was born.  “Do you know the way to San Jose?” was sung many times in the Flauaus household.  Judy loved to talk about her love for the California life nearly up until the day she passed.

Judy and Henry moved back to Missouri in 1976.  She lived in Manchester for 46 years; she found joy in being a devoted wife and mother. She loved watching the cardinals at her bird feeder and from a young age was an avid fan rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. She was a longstanding parish member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Manchester.

In 2022, Judy moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She happily witnessed and participated in many pivotal events of her grandchildren’s lives.  She regularly attended mass with her daughter and family at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community.  She became an active resident of the Forest Hill Highlands senior living community and made many new Wisconsin friends through their lunch outings, Fireside Theater field trips, and community gatherings.  Never quite became a Brewer fan though,  as she would wear her Cardinals jersey on game days when the teams would play each other.

Judy had a giving heart and never forgot to send a greeting card for a birthday, anniversary, or holiday. Her gentle spirit and kind, generous heart will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
