I met Judy through a local Star Trek fan group, and she was a delight to talk to. She had a warm and friendly air about her, and could always make me smile. I consider myself privileged to know her, and I’ll miss her very much.

Judy and I met in the late 1980s / early 1990s.  We were both members of local science fiction clubs, and were active with social events and conventions.

In addition to club activities, we also had a real friendship.  Over the years, I visited Judy at her house, and was even treated to fresh raspberries from her backyard.  We were both women of faith, and I had included her in my prayers for a long time.

Sadly, we both began to experience health and mobility issues, so our get-togethers became less frequent.  Eventually, our conversations ended up being conducted over the phone or via Facebook / Messenger.

I visited Judy a few days before she died, and she was resting peacefully. It saddens me to think that she is no longer with us, but I am thankful that she is no longer in pain.

I will miss her friendship and her kind, gentle spirit. Until we meet again, save some seats for us.

I met Judy in high school, and for many of the years following, life took us in different directions, and we would be in touch via Christmas cards, etc. In recent years, we saw each other a few times, along with Joann and Jan, at Judy’s home, and followed each other on social media. Despite her complicated health challenges, she never really changed very much…mentally .very sharp, quick and good-natured. I saw her during her long stay at the care facility and, although she wished she could be well enough to go back to her home, she accepted her situation, because she had kept her Christian faith through it all. When I saw her recently, she shared with me how grateful and comforted she felt because of the help her pastor had provided in terms of spiritual support and assistance with her other affairs. I will miss Judy, and look forward to seeing her in heaven..

Judy was a class mate of mine at WLHS
Several years ago I taught as a sub at St. Paul’s. I saw her there and was very surprised to run into her after not seeing her for several years. I know that she was a devout servant of the Lord who was very sincere. She is now in the loving arms of her Savior enjoying eternal peace and happiness. May the Lord comfort her family in that knowledge.

I am so terribly sorry just learning of Judy’s passing. I was out of town for weeks helping family members. Judy and I had wonderful talks when I met her three years ago. She had such a tremendous collection of Star Trek memorabilia and teddy bears. I am glad she is at peace.
