Joseph
Patterson

Joseph H. “Joe” Patterson, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026.  Born on August 8, 1938, Joe was a proud Navy Veteran who lived a life centered around family, friendship, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Patterson(Nee Nichols), with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories.  He was the loving father of Linda(Kyle Ventela), Jeffrey(Jolene), and Michael(Brandi).  Joe was a proud grandpa to Rebecca Danes, Laurie(Charlie Coder), Dannie, Trae(Monika), Cassidy(Ben Kiefer), Bailey, and Cade, and a proud great-grandpa to John and Colt Danes and Charlotte Patterson.  He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Pat Sanders, along with many cherished relatives, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Joe now finds peace reunited with his parents, Jesse, and Grace Patterson; his seven brothers and four sisters and their spouses; his father-in-law, Conrad “Connie” Nichols; his mother-in-law, Orlanda “Orie” Nichols; and brother-in-law, James Sanders.

Joe proudly dedicated much of his working life to AC Spark Plug before settling into 35 wonderful years of retirement.  Retirement gave him even more time to enjoy the things he loved most—especially hunting.  Joe would talk hunting 24/7 if given the chance, proudly sharing stories of the deer he harvested, the ones that got away, and the many he chose to pass up.  Those stories and conversations will remain treasured memories for all who knew him.

Music was another lifelong passion.  Joe began playing the accordion at the young age of nine and remained an active member of the Milwaukee Accordion Club for the last 35 years.  Whether spending time surrounded by family, playing music, watching sports, or simply enjoying cookouts, Joe treasured every moment with the people he loved.

Joe’s warmth, stories, laughter, and love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We love you dearly, and you will be loved and missed every single day.
