Joseph F. “Beno” Casamento
1934 – 2026
Passed away on Sunday, May 17 at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband and best friend for 62 years, of Carole (née Tennessen).
Joe was the last surviving member of his immediate family, which included his parents, Francesco and Providenza; his siblings, Josephine, Carmelo, and Catherine; and his half-brother Phil and half-sister Prudence.
Through marriage, Joe became a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, especially Patti and Dick Beyer and their children. Joe is the brother in law Florence Schoenfeld and Albert Wandra. He also dearly loved his canine companions—Frisco, Cinders, CoCo, and currently Daisy. Joe is also survived by many dear friends, relatives, and neighbors.
Visitation Friday, May 22, 2026 at Three Holy Women Parish – St. Rita Church 1617 N. Cass Street Milwaukee, WI 53202, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM, Funeral Mass to Follow at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Three Holy Women Parish or the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Dear Carole and Family. My deepest sympathies to you on the death of Joe your husband friend for so many years. May the Lord comfort you in this time of need and bring you the consolation of the Lord Jesus who promised Eternal Life to all who believe in Him. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
To the Casamento family, Sorry to hear of Beno’s passing. He was one of many friends from the East Sides in the 50’s. You would see him at Louie’s drug store and Cass St. playground.. He was a fun guy and loved sports. Brings back lots of fun times. Will miss him and Charlie at Antones .
