Joel Bentley, age 33 passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020.  He leaves behind his wife Jessica Bentley (nee Rumpf), Parents Rodney and Gail Bentley, Grandmother Cordelia Bentley, In-law’s Jay and Laurie Rumpf, Sister-in law Melissa (Brian) Gallick, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a plethora of friends.

Joel was full of life and lived it to the fullest.  He owned Mobile Mainstage along with working at ATI as an isopress mechanic and at his farm and his uncle Jeff’s farm.  He loved all the animals that he and Jess cared for, especially his dog Bullet.  Some people have destination weddings, Joel and Jess created their own at their property. Adventure was in his blood.   It wasn’t uncommon for him to take a road trip with his wife, friends or dad to purchase a Chevy pickup, Minneapolis Moline Tractor, or Polaris snowmobile.  Joel’s mechanical skills were extraordinary to say the least.  He was a very talented, funny, and great all-around guy. He and Jess, along with their many friends, were always busy with their projects, adventures, and fun. His smile was infectious.  Joel has left a gaping hole in all lives he touched. He will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th, 2020 at the RACINE COUNTY FAIR GROUNDS EXPO CENTER 19805 Durand Ave., Union Grove, WI 53182 from noon-2:30pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:30pm.  Gathering of friends and family will follow service until 5pm.

I remember Joel and his friend flying down to Florida to buy a diesel truck and drove it back to Wisconsin, Joel was laughing and having a great time doing some mechanics to the truck with his grandma and granddad watching…….I pray for you and the family in this very tragic time….

    Hey Joel-

You became my nephew through Aunt Ruth. Man, you were such a big help when we moved!!! Joel, I was always amazed every time I came to your place from 5 mile to 4 1/4. You accomplished so much on your farm in addition to working full time. I loved the old 50’s truck yard art, better than flowers. Your weddings and parties were phenomenal, even though we were a part of the older crowd. Rest In Peace my nephew. It’s not good bye Joel, it’s see you later dude. Yog.

I was in third grade when I met Joel. I was babysat by Joels neighbors which lead me to meet him. We played house together no joke. We pulled weeds out of the garden together. It wasnt often he was there while I was getting babysat. But thats where him and I met him. My heart goes out to his parents. Im very sorry for your loss you didnt deserve to lose your child this early. I will always remember him being happy and full of smiles. My only regret is being a few years older than him and not keeping in touch through the years. Ve con Dios my friend. Save a spot for me where you are please. See you soon brother.

Joel and I went to school together. Preschool all the way through high school. He was always there for you when you needed it. He loved to laugh and joke around. Always happy. This is hard for me to process. You left way too soon, Joel. You’ll be missed dearly. Prayers, love and hugs to his wife and his family.
