Jenny Bahr
(nee Uecker)
Beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and child of God traveled on to Heaven on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at the age of 49.
Jenny was born in Toledo, OH on November 3, 1976, to Scott and Deb Uecker (nee Scheurell). As a little girl, she loved playing with Fisher Price and Sesame Street toys and had huge collections of each. She also developed a lifelong love of chocolate early on. Bert and Ernie were her particular favorite toys, joined by her stuffed teddy bear Grizzla.
Jenny was later joined by her sister Alissa in 1980, after she moved with her parents to Waukesha, where her dad had accepted a call as principal of Trinity Lutheran School.
She later graduated from Waukesha North High School with the class of 1995 and went on to receive her certifications in early childhood development at Waukesha County Technical College.
Jenny met the love of her life Matt Bahr in the spring of 2001. They fell in love and were later married on September 6, 2009, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa. She was the great love of Matt’s life, and he always doted on her. Matt always considered himself extra lucky and blessed to have Jenny as his wife. She was also the cherished dog mom of their precious canine daughter, Oprah! Matt and Jenny made their home in West Allis and enjoyed 17 years of marriage.
Jenny was one of the sweetest, most caring, most compassionate people in the world and had a great love for animals and small children. Little kids were one of the greatest joys of her life, and she loved working with them in all her childcare positions through the years.
Jenny also had a very strong Christian faith and touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a great, bright light to people and was loved by so, so many friends.
Jenny will be lovingly remembered by her husband Matt, of West Allis; parents Scott and Deb of Waukesha; sister Alissa (Brian) Griebel of New Ulm, MN; nephews Evan of Fort Myers, FL and Jack of New Ulm, MN; and father-in-law Michael Bahr of West Allis.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, April 10th from 9-11am at St. Marcus Church (2215 North Palmer Street, Milwaukee). The funeral service will begin promptly at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jenny’s name can be made out to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Childcare, Wauwatosa, or the Humane Society of Wisconsin are appreciated.
So sorry for your unexpected loss. Praying for all of you during this difficult time. May God watch over your family as he welcomes Jenny into his loving arms. Deepest sympathy

Is this venue in a historic area? Those details can really add to the atmosphere.
We are so sorry for your loss. Janny’s passing is a loss for all of us. We wish you peace and comfort.
Matt and Jenny’s wedding was such a fun and memorable day! (So much candy!)
Jenny and I played “Words with Friends” back when that game was popular and kept track of each other’s dogs through pictures and comments on Facebook.
We will miss her.
Prays and hugs to Matt, Deb, Scott & Alyssa. Heaven has gained another angel.
Scott and Deb,
My deepest sympathies for you. I have a very fond memory of your family taking us to the Minnesota Zoo so many years ago. I remember having a bit of an unspoken bond with Jenny being we are only ten days apart. I send my prayers and hugs for you and all of Jenny’s family.
Much love, Carly Barton (Fearing) Barb Uecker’s daughter
My heartfelt condolences to Matt and all of Jenny’s family. I knew Jenny from Waukesha North High School and she was a student that always kept in touch, even after I moved to Florida. I looked forward to her and Matt’s Christmas picture. May Jesus fold his loving arms around you and offer his peace.
Scott and Deb,
My sympathy for losing an angel. Many prayers and hugs to comfort you, Matt
and family. May many happy memories easy the pain.
Love Barb McCarthy (Uecker)
Thinking of you and your family, Professor Uecker! Prayers that the promise and hope of heaven lift you, knowing that we will all be together again in heaven one day.
