Janice Mary Hernet nee Binon

Found Peace Saturday, February 21, 2026.  Lovingly known as “Grandma Donut,” was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in 1936 to Mary (Tipler) and Bernard Binon.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank “Bud” Hernet; her daughter, Debbie; her granddaughter, Margie; her son-in-law, David; and her brothers, Wayne and Bernie.
Janice was a devoted mother to five daughters: The late Debra (Steven) Liebert, Kathi (Scott) Landowski, Lori (Jim) Konicke, Jennifer (the late David) Lewandowski, and Amy (Bruce) Johnson, and three sons: James (Irene) Groh, Jonathan (Lisa) Hernet, and Frank (Erica) Hernet. The proud grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Janice was a kind and wonderful person who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, bingo, playing cards, and reading. She was also one of the biggest fans of the Green Bay Packers. Janice retired as a manager at Grebe’s Bakery, where she earned the beloved nickname “Grandma Donut.”
She was a resident at VMP Independent Living Apartments, where she formed many meaningful friendships, especially with Dale, whose friendship she deeply cherished.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at VMP Rehabilitation. Their patience, kindness, and care for Janice and her family were truly a blessing.
Until we see you again in Heaven, Mom, you will be deeply missed here on Earth
