  • A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 9:30am-10:45am followed by a Mass at 10:45am at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH 3160 S. 63rd St.

 

JANET O. BEREZOWITZ

 

Janet O. Berezowitz (Nee Pokorny) passed away quietly on Friday Dec 1st, 2023.  She was a Milwaukee resident all her life.

Loving Mother of Jeff (Janice) Berezowitz, Mark (Linda) Berezowitz, Kim (Warren) Brosel. Grandmother of Jessica-Olsen (Miguel) Puga, Jeryd, Justin (Samantha) Berezowitz, Ryan, Dana, Chase and Wyatt.  Great Grandmother of Noah and Luke. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her late husband, William P. Berezowitz, died in 2018. They were married for 62 years.

As a young girl she danced from age 5 to age 21 with her mother making all her dance recital costumes.  Janet was a homemaker who also worked at St. Lukes Hospital as a nurse’s aide for 15 years.

Janet loved bowling, crafting, playing cards and vacations. She enjoyed the outdoors and basking in the sun.  She was active in many groups and organizations and attended St. Gregory the Great Parish. Janet made many Green-Bay Packer craft items for their annual fall festival and volunteered at many of the booths through the years.

 

Visitation will be held Wed, Dec. 20, at St. Gregory the Great Parish, 3160 S. 63rd Street, Milwaukee, from 9:30AM-10:45AM followed by a Celebration of Life service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association or charity of your choice would be appreciated.

    So sorry about Janet’s passing. Many years of memories with your Mom. I will inform Pat Owen and the “rest of the team”. Will not be able to attend memorial service returning from a cruise that day.

    I have many fond memories of Mr. And Mrs. B especially during bowling season and tournaments. She was a hoot!

    Kim, Steven and I are sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. We have so many great memories at your house during our high school years. Your mom was always so sweet and kind to everyone.
