January 19, 1954 – May 11, 2025
Born to eternal life on May 11, 2025, at the age of 71.
Beloved son of the late Gordon and late Dorothy Hanna. Loving husband of the late Joanne Hanna. Devoted father of Lisa (Chris) Aulenbacher and Christine Hanna. Loving grandfather of Kaylie, Mackenzie, Ava, Max, and Emily. Cherished brother of Sandy (Randy) Jaroszewski, the late Mark Hanna and Sharon (Ed) Cox. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Jim met the love of his life Joanne Wasicka while in High School. She was the brightest star in his life from the moment he met her. They married and raised their 2 daughters in Cudahy, WI.
A talented self taught guitar player, Jim spent most of his free time playing an acoustic version of his favorite songs. He loved music especially rock and roll. His favorite artists were the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Music was his greatest passion in life. He attended many many live concerts of his favorite bands throughout his life. Jim enjoyed church festivals on weekends and time at Summerfest with Joanne and their friends. He acquired quite the impressive vinyl collection throughout the years. He was also a talented artist. Enjoyed drawing and showcased a few of those drawings in his home. Jim loved gardening with his wife and was very proud of how beautiful the yard looked in full summer bloom.
His grandchildren brought great joy to his life. They brought a smile to his face whether spending time together or hearing about their latest dance recital or sports game. Jim was a fun loving, thoughtful and generous man that will truly be missed for all those fortunate to have known him.
A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday May 31st, 2025 11:00am-1:00pm with a prayer service to take place at 12 pm at ST. ANN’S CNETER (2801 E. Morgan Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53207).

I have so many memories it would take forever.. Jim and Joanne were both very special friends and very special people I will truly miss both of them,. As we all will.

My deepest condolences to all the Hanna Family. My friendship with Jim was one of the highlights of my life. Jim was generous with his humor and his kindness. While we haden’t spoken in some time I thought of him often with warnth and appreciation.
My deepest condolences to Jimmy’s family and loved ones. “May God give you peace that surpasses all understanding.” I have known Jimmy for over 50 years. He always had a smile on his face and had a positive attitude on life. I will miss having coffee with him, enjoying fires in his backyard, and listening to his collection of music when I came back to Milwaukee to visit. I was blessed to have known Jimmy. But I know I will see him and Joanne again in eternity.
Prayers of healing to all of Jim’s family. Memories throughout the years of friendship. Listening to him play his guitar, the drawings he did. Trading his amazing music collection with me. Forever will miss him at our coffee meetings on Sunday. Together again with his love of his life. Peace to you my friend.
