To the Drews family: I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you in person this weekend, but want to extend my condolences and the hope of salvation in Jesus that we all share. I first met Hilbert as Paul was brought to Concordia HS. And on more trips as other children came. I enjoyed having at least 2 boys in class – they truly are a chip off of the old block. What a blessed heritage you, June, and Hilbert gave to your children, and what a positive faith impression you have left on all of us. If I recall correctly you both even sat in on a Bible class I led on Jesus Christ Superstar at Our Shepherd one summer. I’m sure you have heard many stories/memories these days from others. May God bless you all as you sort these all through, with your own precious memories of your father mixed in.Easter can be a great time to die and be comforted.

Love you Grandpa. I know you’re rejoicing where there are no tears, with God face to face.

Rev 21:4 – He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Thanks for being a Dad. Thanks for playing basketball and tricking me into fouling you so many times ; telling so many hysterical jokes, faithfully praying and reading the Bible every day. You provided for your family and so many others. You are a humble saint the world will miss.

Glad I was with you for Christmas. Amazed at your prayers

Miss you
Adam

Just wanted to send my condolences. I have vague but fond memories of the times your family would come visit us on the farm in Muskego. I was greatly warmed by the comments from Royal Natzke. What a blessed assurance.

The death of Hilbert brings back memories of working for him at the Sussex and Fond du Lac stores what a fun time that was. Thanks for the memories

We would like to express our deepest sympathies to June and the entire family.

Hilbert was one of the nicest and most sincere individuals I was ever fortunate enought to meet.

He was a true Christian gentleman.

Aunt June and my wonderful cousins, What a great man God has called home! All thoughts of Uncle Hilbert bring a smile to my face. The humor he brought to all who knew him will be missed. He was certainly a man to admire. I pray that God bless you and comfort you during this time.

Dear June and family
Sincere sympathies as you lay your husband of many years to rest.
All our days together as part of Martin Luther High School bring fond memories.
God bless and keep all of you safe in His arms.

Aunt June and cousins,
I’m very sorry for your loss. I’m sure the presence of this very wonderful man in your lives will be greatly missed. However, knowing that Uncle Hilbert is in Heaven with the rest of his family and with our awesome God, I am joyful for him. I remember Uncle Hilbert and his “sense of humor” along with his always friendly and smiling face. God’s blessings to you all and may you be filled with that marvelous peace that can come only from the faith that we have been given in our Savior!
