Greg R. Zuchowski

 

 

Greg Robert Zuchowski of Franklin, Wi, died on July 19th, 2025. Greg was born on October 18th, 1953, to Robert and Gail Zuchowski. He grew up in West Allis and was a 1971 graduate of Nathan Hale High School. After high school Greg served in the United States Air Force for 8 years, His service included 18 months in Thailand during the Vietnam War and temporary assignment in the Philippines during the evacuation of Saigon. He was a beloved husband of Linette (nee Droster) for 35 years as well as a  proud and loving father to Alicia and Amy. Alicia and Amy’s help made it possible for Lin to care for him at home in his last years. Greg served as a Milwaukee County Deputy for 24 years until Parkinson’s Disease forced his retirement. He enjoyed many travels with his family, especially scuba diving in the Caribbean. He loved pizza, rum and coke, the Green Bay Packers, music, his electric guitar, movies, and any car or motorcycle that went fast.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert. He is survived by his wife and daughters as well as his mother Gail, brother Jeff, sister Jill (Peter) Arendt, sister and brothers-in-law, Monica and William Pritchard and Jay and Mary Droster. Other friends and relatives mourn his passing.

Thanks to his friend Janine who cared so much and spent much time with him over the last years.

Thanks to Cindi, Jill, Gerry, and Chaplain Dmitri of Aurora Home Hospice for their care of Greg and Lin.

A service has been held for the family. He was a kind and loving man who will be missed dearly.
