Gary W. Longrie

September 15, 2014, age 79 years. Preceded in death by his partner of over 20 years, Leonard Duszynski; a brother, Richard F. Longrie, and a sister, Kay Longrie. Survived by his brother, Leland (Kathryn) Longrie, nephews Martin (Suzy Goebel) Longrie and Aaron (Rebecca) Longrie, other relatives and friends. Gary taught English at MATC for many years.

Family and friends will gather at the Suminski / Weiss Funeral Home, 1901 N. Farwell Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53202 Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 1:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM.

I feel so blessed to have have had Gary in my life. Quiet and gentle, he was a master of words, crafting beautiful poetry that I continue to go to when I need a reminder of what life, love and friendship truly means. He was a true friend, always, to my uncle and for that he will hold a special place in my heart. I hope in his final days he realized how much he was loved……
