Evan departed this world unexpectedly from a car accident on March 19, 2025, at the young age of 25. A loving son, devoted brother, and cherished friend, Evan leaves behind a legacy of kindness and genuine friendship that spanned vast distances and touched many lives.
Evan grew up in the Milwaukee area, where he attended Milwaukee Spanish Immersion and The Greenfield School District. He was not only a dedicated student but also an avid sports fan, a passionate reader, and a board game enthusiast who cherished moments spent with friends, both in person and within the vibrant online communities he nurtured. His spirit and laughter will be deeply missed, particularly by cherished family.
Loving son of Timm and Amy, dear brother of Amanda (Zach) Rohde, Rebecca (Andrew) Westphal and Sarah (Tim) Westphal. Grandson to Michael and Lexi Westphal. Uncle to Teddy James (due August 2025). Cousin to Billy (Maggie), Matthew, Brandin, Alyssa, Andy, Jack, Alaina (Jameson), Chris Jr., Nick and Liana.
Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Karen and Douglas Rupp.
Evan’s talent for connecting with people brought joy to all who knew him. Evan shared his heart freely, forming lasting bonds that will be remembered fondly.

I went to high school with Evan. I didn’t have the opportunity to talk with him often, but when I did it was always an authentic and enjoyable conversation. From what I remember he was a great kid and I’m sure he turned into a great man. He was always so kind and friendly. I’m so sorry for your loss.

We are so saddened by this tragedy and send all the family and friends condolences and love. We will miss Evan’s warm smile and his big genuine hugs.
We just learned of Evan James passing, losing a loved one is always heartbreaking, and when they are young it’s even more difficult because we realize the future was cut short, I believe that the same expectations that Evan James is unable to fulfill with us here, God’s expectations will be great for him, God will continue to allow Evan James to help all of us through our Prayers, Faith teaches us that God is timeless and Eternal therefore we shall not lose hope, but draw closer to God, and thank him for the great gift of Evan James, and look forward to him still helping us on our walk with Christ Jesus where one day we will all be reunited. Eternal rest grant unto him, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
