Ervin served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.  After returning from the Army, Ervin did various jobs in Minnesota before moving to Wisconsin. Ervin worked at different industrial jobs before being hired in 1971 as a custodian with the Cudahy Public School System working until retirement in 1998. Ervin enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards with friends and family, woodworking, gardening and nature. Ervin loved spending time with his family. He was a gentle, caring man with a tremendous smile, and a big heart. Visitation is Monday July 12, 2021 from 2 to 4pm, followed by a service at Heritage Funeral Home, 4800 South 84th Street, Greenfield, WI.  Burial will be Tuesday July 13, 2021 at 10 am at Highland Memorial Park 14875 West Greenfield Avenue, New Berlin, WI. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Fisher House Foundation.  The family would like to thank the staff of the Hales Corners Care Center for their care of Ervin over the past several weeks.
