Eleanore J.

Korta, Eleanore Joyce
(Nee Knoblauch) After 5 years apart, reunited in heaven on October 6, 2018 with her husband Lawrence, to whom she was a devoted and loving wife for more than 50 years. Joyce was the proud mother of Jennifer (Larry) Amell, Jonathan (Tanya), the late Robert, Thomas (Jill), Andrew (Shannon), Amy (Daniel) Lukas. Beloved Grandma to Kate (Andy) Fehrenbach, Molly and Cori Amell, Dylan, Kaleb, Kiana, Nick, Noelle, Andrew, Brianna, Cadyn, Caleb, Greyson and Brogan Korta, and Jonathan, Ellie, Teddy, and Josie Lukas. Adoring great-grandmother to Alex, Nate, and Emma Fehrenbach. Further survived by nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom held a special place in Joyce’s life. Joyce’s boundless spirit and warm smile are dearly missed by countless friends and acquaintances. At the age of 60 Joyce was blessed with the incredible gift of a new lung from a generous donor, allowing her to spread her joy and love of life for an additional 18 years. She thrived for those years due to the loving care she received from Dr. Gronski and his team and the pulmonary teams at St. Luke’s and Heartland Hospice. Memorial visitation Wednesday October 10th at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT PARISH, 3160 S. 63rd St from 4:30-5:45 PM with Memorial Mass to follow at 6PM.
Memorials to St. Gregory the Great or the American Lung Association appreciated.
