  • A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm followed by a time of sharing at 6:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home 4800 S. 84th St. Greenfield, WI 53228. Inurnment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

 

 

Donna Lee Phillips (née Thompson), age 77, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Dorothy and Lars Thompson, Donna grew up with a deep sense of care for others that guided her throughout her life. She devoted many years to her nursing career, where she touched countless lives with her skill, compassion, and dedication. As a nurse, mentor, and role model, she left a lasting impact on her colleagues, patients, and community.

Donna married her husband, Glen A. Phillips, with whom she shared many years of marriage and the joy of raising their family together. She was the proud mother of Amy Phillips (Ben Klepzig), Dana Phillips, and Sara Phillips (Justin Netzel). She adored her grandchildren – Ariel Allen, Eli Klepzig, Safina Klepzig; Ethan Phillips; Henry Netzel, and Kalista Netzel, who brought her great happiness and pride.

She is also lovingly remembered by her extended family members, nephews, cousins and dear friends who were like family to her. Donna cherished the special bonds she formed throughout her life and held her loved ones close to her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen, and her brother Lars C. Thompson.

Donna will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to both her family and her profession. Her warmth and generosity will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.

    I am so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing, and of your loss. I worked with Donna for many years at Aurora. She was dedicated to her work and to her family.
