Donald Charles
Skramstad

Donald C. Skramstad, of Milwaukee, was called to eternal life on October 1, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Toni Skramstad, the love of his life, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Don was a very dedicated and hard-working man where he spent 38 years working as a driver for the Milwaukee County Transit System. “After retirement”, he continued his love for driving working as a bank courier and finally as a driver for GoKidsGo.
Don could frequently be found at the bowling alley on his Friday night leagues or at home watching the Packers games with his wife. Most often however you could find him attending the Brewers games with lifelong friend George or brother Al. Don would brag how their yearly section 337 was thanks to it matching his MCTS badge number.
His inner child shined brightest while spending time with his grandkids, the perfect excuse to enjoy the latest Pixar movie. His retirement years were spent spoiling his favorite girls (next to Toni), his beloved German Sheppards, or passing time with his daily trips to visit his Pick-n-Save friends.
Don’s family and friends remember him best for his sarcasm, inappropriate jokes, and stubbornness, but most of all for his honest stand-up character. Don’s dedication to his family was unwavering. His heart showed in every way – our “Papa” was always there to help and support the ones he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Gladys Skramstad, sisters Marlene & Darlene, brother Al, and granddaughter Alexis. He is survived by wife Toni, daughters Lori & Lisa, son David (Natalie), grandchildren Austin, Adian, Collin, Ethan, Ben & Chloe, and his brother Phil.
Don will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed.
