Daniel “Boonie” Rohrer
Daniel Rohrer, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully and went to be with Jesus – who he loved dearly on June 14, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 2, 1943, Daniel lived a full and vibrant life. He dedicated many years of his career as an assembler for Briggs and Stratton, where his skills and commitment made him a valued member of the small engine manufacturing community.
Daniel was a man full of joy and laughter, often known as a “huge goofball” who could light up a room with his infectious sense of humor. He had a passion for life that was evident in his love for golf and his delightful dining adventures. Sports held a special place in his heart, particularly football, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer for his favorite teams.
Music was another of Daniel’s great loves. In his younger years, he traveled with a quartet, sharing his vibrant spirit through song. His family fondly remembers his talents and enthusiasm, which he generously shared with those around him.
Daniel is survived by his devoted daughter, Deneesa, and his son, Michael (Jennifer). He was a proud grandfather to Michael, Austin (Tschelle), Alyssa, Matthew, Travis, Conor, and Nicholas, and a loving great-grandfather to Kane. Also survived by his stepson Bryan (Margie), stepdaughter Marilyn (Steve) and step-grandchildren. Further survived by his sister Dorothy “June” and many other family and friends. His legacy will live on in their hearts and memories.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Daniel’s life and share memories at a funeral service on June 23, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Homes in New Berlin (16880 W. National Ave.). A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Following the service, Daniel will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park – New Berlin.
As we gather to honor Daniel’s spirit, let us reflect on the joy he brought to our lives and the love he shared with all who knew him. He will be missed dearly but will remain forever in our hearts.
Boonie was preceded in death by his loving wife, MaryLou, his parents, John and Kathryn Rohrer and siblings, John, Jim, Rich, Faith, and dear twin sister Dianne.
