Barbara Elizabeth Stark

Barbara Elizabeth Stark, 75, passed away on June 15, 2025 after a valiant battle with cancer. Barb was the beloved sister of Carol Stark and Eileen (Richard Weber) Stark.  Further survived by dear friends.

She graduated from Bay View High School and went on to earn a degree in French at UW–Whitewater. Afterwards she fulfilled her dream of attending the Sorbonne University in Paris for several years on a fellowship award. Later she became an ESL teacher in the Milwaukee Public Schools where she dedicated herself to her students.

She also lived in Madison and San Diego before returning to Milwaukee in 2015 where she purchased a small house and spent many happy hours tending her large garden. She shared many wonderful times with her lifelong friend Linda Keller and her family, and she was an avid birdwatcher with a special fondness for cats. Among her cherished felines were Charlie and Honey, who she cared for until they recently passed. Traveling to places like Door County, Bayfield, and state natural areas brought her pleasure. Barb was a kind, generous soul who made a difference in the lives of all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
