Clement L. Mayrand
July 3, 1930 – August 23, 2025
It is with very heavy sadness that we announce the passing of Clement Mayrand, who left this world peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on August 23, 2025 at the age of 95.
Clement was born in Escanaba, Michigan to Lawrence and Mae Mayrand and grew up on the family farm in Bark River, Michigan, where he learned the values of hard work and faith that guided him throughout his entire life. In his younger years, he played football in high school before eventually quitting to work full time on the farm.
After serving as an Army paratrooper in the Korean War, Clement met and fell in love with his beautiful wife, Lois Mayrand, on a double date. He later moved to West Allis, Wisconsin and got married on July 5, 1958, starting a family of their own soon after. Together they share ten children and 66 years of true unconditional love, faith and happiness. Clement was a loving and committed father, instilling the same work ethic, patience, and devotion that defined his life into his children. He took great joy in watching his family grow to include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
Throughout his fatherhood, he created many memories with his children, taking them to the state fair, picnics, ice cream runs, family vacations, etc. He co-owned Lake Bernita Campground in Westfield, Wisconsin where he also took his family for many memorable camping trips. He enjoyed bingo, visiting the casino with family, socializing with friends, dancing, polka, and staying active through his candy route and other part-time businesses. He was also devoted to his dog, Texi Lou. Clement spent his life surrounded with overwhelming love from his family, which meant everything and more to him.
Every moment spent with Clement is a moment that will be deeply cherished for a lifetime. His courage and selflessness was an inspiration to all that knew him. He will be eternally remembered for his dedication and commitment to his family, his perseverance, hardworking nature and passion for life. He was truly one of a kind, and his memory will live on within us forever.
Clement has now joined his parents, his daughter Mary, brothers: Richard (Dick), Robert (Cubby), Lawrence Jr. (Jim), and loving wife, Lois in heavenly peace. He is survived by his brothers: Jerry and Roger (Buzzy), his nine children: Randy, John (Joy), Richard (Glynda), Janet, Kathy (Pete), Karen, Pamela (Bob), Ronald (Mandy), and Kimberly (Joe) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be Thursday, September 4th, from 11am-12pm at Holy Assumption Catholic Church (7109 W. Orchard St. West Allis) with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12pm.
