Barbara M.
Barnes

Barnes, Barbara Maxine Barnes (nee: Stevens) arrived in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus on Monday, June 10 at the age of 75. Loving and devoted wife of nearly 57 years to Jacob “Keith” Barnes, Barb selflessly loved her six children: Cheryl (Casey) Conner, Charles (Michelle) Barnes, Charlene (Ronald) Hack, Christine (William) Dixon, Carolyn (Dave) Van Sloten, and Craig. She also adored and will be greatly missed by her brother William D. Stevens, as well as cousins Larry and Dennis Stevens and their respective families. Barb delighted in her 20 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is further survived by sisters-in-law Alene and Joan, seven nieces and nephews, our extended family the Rhineharts and dear lifelong friends Barbara (nee Erickson) Kaczmarek and Nancy (nee Uttke) Boyle.
A homemaker and retired Raymond School cook, Barb consistently blessed others by leading a rich life of humble service to her family, church, and community. She enjoyed playing clarinet with both the National Avenue Advancement Association Band and the Cudahy VFW band, where she met her husband in 1955.
Barb cared deeply, shared freely, forgave graciously, and laughed loudly. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents William and Maxine, her brother Ralph, and uncles Albert and David.
Funeral Service/Home-going Celebration will take place at RAYMOND CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, 8638 Hwy. K in the town of Raymond, on Tuesday, June 18 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 4:00 until the time of service (6pm). Private interment Arlington Park Cemetery.
