To Bob Sr’s family, my sympathy and prayers on your loss. I only knew Bob Sr thru having known and working with Bob Jr at Sentry. I am unable to be at the visitation today. I trust you will take comfort in your faith in God. The messages I see below only reiterate the belief I have that Bob Sr was Patriarch to a wonderful family.

Ho-Ho Bob was a feature of the neighborhood when I grew up and left an indellible impression on me. From the special way he celebrated our birthdays to his swims in his socks, Bob made you feel special. I treasure the memories of the time spent with Louise, Bobby, Susie, JJ and Jerry.

Grandpa started watching me at 6 months old. Now that I am a mother myself, I realize what a blessing it is to have someone that you can not only trust but can also mentor your children while you are away. Grandpa was all of this and more. He was a teacher, a friend, a playmate, a chef, a jokester, and most importantly a Grandpa. It was always evident he loved children. Even last year at the 4th of July parade, he wanted to make sure that all of the young kids were getting enough of the candy and even yelled at the older kids for taking more than their share. He would do anything to make you smile or laugh. I am thankful to have known him for so many years. He has been there for birthdays, graduations, marriages. The thing that I am most grateful for is that he was able to meet my daughter. Grandpa, I know that you are now our guardian angel. We love you and will miss you. Until we meet again….
