Zellmer, Barbara “Barb” J. (nee Wagner)
Called Home to the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2026 at age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Zellmer. Dear mother of Mark (Judi) Zellmer. Loving grandmother of Natalie (Paul) Bell, Vanessa (Marcus) Lane and Dr. Victoria (Scott) Manwaring. Great grandmother of Jack Bell, Della and Jude Lane and Quinn and Parker Manwaring. Sister of Robert “Bert” (Carol) Wagner and the late Audrey (Jim) Swan. Aunt of Susan (Guy) Stoltenburg, Susan Rowley, Chuck Wagner and John Marshall. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Helen Wagner, her mother-in-law and father-in-law LeRoy and Martha Zellmer. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
Barbara was born in Milwaukee and attended Pulaski High School where she met Bob, the love of her life. She worked at Sears for many years in the boys clothing department assuring Mark was well dressed in grade school and high school. She enjoyed working with many friends in these years. Barb was a lifetime member of Oklahoma Ave. Lutheran Church, where she was confirmed and married. She loved hosting parties and cooking for family.
The family wishes to thank the Aurora Home Hospice nurses and aides for their care, and a very special thank you to Barb’s (and Bob’s) loving caregivers: Franchesca, Dawn, Stacie, Nicole, Sara, Kathi, Rachel, Cindy, Callie and Kristin.
If so desired, memorials to Oklahoma Ave. Lutheran Church appreciated.
