Arthur “Artie” Ninaus, Jr.

Of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Age 87. Went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Artie was born in Rib Lake on November 30, 1936 to the late Gladys (nee Schultz) and Arthur Ninaus, Sr.  He grew up working on the family farm with his three brothers and two sisters.  Artie married Caryl (nee Melcher) Ninaus on June 18, 1960 and spent nearly 64 years together.

Artie was a wonderful provider for his family and worked at Motor Transport, Roundy’s, Acro Automation and Helmut Home Improvement. Artie was a long-time member and volunteer at Bethany Lutheran Church and Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed bowling, darts, playing cards and taking his family camping in his younger years.  Artie was an avid reader of the daily newspaper, enjoyed gardening and did beautiful work on many home improvement and construction projects.  Artie was incredibly talented with his hands and could fix just about anything.

He is survived by his wife Caryl; his children Cynthia (Jeffery) Young, Judy (partner Dale Gultch) Gaus, Laurie (Fred) Rampone, Vicki (partner Rob Mahn) Ninaus; his grandchildren Justyna (Joshua) Mertz, Kate Rampone and Kyle Rampone; his great-grandchild Isaiah Mertz; his siblings Bruno (Sandra), Carl (the late Barbara), Hermine (the late Alfred), Erwin and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gladys and Arthur, brother Dietrich (Alma), and sister Marlene.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, from 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m. at Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church, 5335 West Oklahoma Avenue, Milwaukee, with service to be held at 12 noon at the church followed by a luncheon at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church.
