Of Wausaukee, WI passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the age of 88. He was born January 3, 1923 in Cedar River, MI to the late Bernard L. and Christina H. Hansen Braley.

On June 29, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI Art married Ethel Gaede of Vulcan, MI. After raising their family in West Allis, WI Ethel preceded him in death in 1988.

Art is survived by daughters, Bonnie Rae Charles Maney of Milton, WI and Jeaneen special friend Robert Reinhart McMullen of Cascade, WI and very special sister-in-law, Virginia “Ginny” Braley of Milwaukee, WI, brother-in-law Edwin Gaede of Muskego, WI, and sister in law Edna Jacklovitz of Vulcan, MI. Preceded in death son Arlie widow Lisa of Blanchardville, WI, seven brothers and five sisters. Art will be missed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.

A 50+ year member of Steamfitters’ Local Union #601, Art spent his career installing and servicing HVAC systems. An avid outdoors man, Art loved to play golf, fish, hunt deer and small game with a bow or rifle and relaxed watching birds and animals at the feeder from the window of his home on Morgan Lake. Art’s hobbies included carpentry, woodworking and cheering for the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Though not a veteran, Art enjoyed revisiting the history of World War II via books and magazines.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

If so desired, memorials are appreciated to the International Crane Foundation or Zilber Family Hospice.
