Alice Marie Raasch

Raasch, Alice M.
(nee Van Roo) Went to be with her Savior on September 4, 2014, age 92. She was born October 21, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Alice M.(Schmitt) and Clarence E. Van Roo. She graduated from Pewaukee High School in 1939. Alice married Myron J. Raasch February 23, 1957.
Alice attended Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1943. For most of her nursing career, she supervised in the Deaconess Hospital Operating Room. Alice loved the outdoors and was the happiest when she could be in the woods of northern Minnesota. She kept busy with her various arts and crafts, but it was knitting that she most enjoyed.
Alice was a devoted wife and mother. She kept her two grandchildren close to her heart and never lost sight of their dreams and accomplishments.
Alice is survived my her daughter, Susan; son-in-law, Thomas Wm. Medler; and her grandchildren, Jordan M. Koel and Danielle M. Koel.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Myron J. Raasch, her parents, and both sisters, Lois A. Lentz and Harriet J. Bishop.
