Roewer, Col. William H. “Bill”

Passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Loving husband of June. Beloved father of Ellen (Michael) Smith and Paul (Lillian) Roewer. Grandfather of Justin and Jarrod Roewer. Son of the late Paul and Edna (nee Nieman) Roewer. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday from 9-11AM at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3381 E. Puetz Rd., Oak Creek. A Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Private interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Bill was born April 12, 1934 in Loganville, WI. He married his wife June on February 16, 1957. They welcomed a daughter, Ellen, in 1958 and then a son, Paul, in 1961.

Bill started his Military career in 1955 as an Aviation Cadet, pilot training followed in 1960. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Omaha in 1965. He then joined the Air Force Reserves in 1968. Bill retired as a Reservist in 1985. He worked many years with Selig Executive Leasing while also working in the Air Force Reserves. After retirement Bill enjoyed golfing and working with Grace Lutheran Church as a Church Elder. He was a long time member of the Lion’s Club as well as a member of the QB Pilot Organization. Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman, and sports enthusiast. Bill was a dedicated family man who valued God, family and friends above all else.
