Canney, Suzanne G (nee Enders)
Suzanne was born August 10, 1948 and passed away October 6, 2014 after fighting a courageous battle against lung cancer. Preceding her in death were her parents, Margaret M. and Bernard P. Enders.
Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, Michael, her sister Sharen (Gerald) Medved and sister-in-law Patricia (Chuck) Church. In addition, she is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Suzanne proudly served in the United States Army attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and was the first woman weapons expert. She also worked for various companies as an accountant. Suzanne was a member of the Women’s Veterans Advocacy Council at the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee and spent many hours visiting wounded veterans as well as decorating various clinics for their enjoyment. Her greatest joy was giving of herself to others. Suzanne was a proud member of AMVETS Memorial Post 60, and American Legion Greendale Post 416.
Interment will be on Wednesday, October 8th, 11am at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182
