Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and the School Sisters of St. Francis with whom she shared life for 65 years. Visitation at St. Joseph Convent Chapel, 1501 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee, WI, on Thursday, August 22, from 10-11 AM. Wake service at 10:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Sister Mary Fidelis, born Clara Emma Kaehny, daughter of William Andrew Kaehny and Gertrude Mary Schulteis, was * born on Friday 28 January 1921 in Jackson, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA. Clara, the youngest of nine children, arrived at 8:10 in the evening. Birth record identifies place of birth as town of Polk. Clara was baptized on Thursday 30 June 1921 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Richfield.2 Reverend F. Falbisoner of St. Hubert performed the rite. Her godparents were her aunt, Emma Berres, and her uncle, Albert Schulteis. On Sunday 28 June 1931, at the age of 10, Clara received her First Holy Communion at St. Mary Catholic Church. Clara was graduated from Polk Dairy School in Jackson in May of 1933. She then attended and was graduated from West Bend High School in West Bend, on Friday 10 June 1938. On 21 July 1962 Sister Fidelis was graduated from Alverno College in Milwaukee, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with minors in English and History. She enjoyed Sewing, Gardening, Quilting, and Singing. Her occupation was that of Farming (1933-1947), Factory Worker (1941), Teacher Grades 1-4 (1950-1970), and Organist (1950-1967). Clara was employed circa 1941 by West Bend Aluminum Company in West Bend, examining product quality of 20 mm shell casings.

27 August 1947 Clara Emma entered the School Sister of St. Francis, St. Joseph Convent, Milwaukee. Her Reception occurred 13 June 1948 at age 27 receiving the name Sister Mary Fidelis; professed on 21 June 1950 and took her Final Vows on Thursday 21 June 1956.

Her first assignment was at St. Walburga in Fletcher, Minnesota. She arrived there on 29 August 1950. Additional assignments were at St. Joseph in Lacona, Iowa, on 10 August 1951; St. Mary in Milo, Iowa, on 04 August 1957; St. Boniface in Westphalia, Iowa on 12 August 1964; St. John in Muscoda, Wisconsin on 02 August 1967; St. Peter in Slinger, Wisconsin on 05 August 1968; St. Joseph Convent in Milwaukee on 29 June 1970, secretary to the Vice President; St. Joseph Convent in Milwaukee in 1980 in the Mail and Printing Press Department for 13 years; St. Joseph Parish in Winsted, Minnesota on 11 October 1993 working in the parish office and convent where the ladies quilted.

Sister Fidelis retired on 11 May 1995. On 11 October 1995, Fidelis lived at 526 Mill Street, Campbellsport, Wisconsin, USA 53010-3502 where she loved tending the large garden. In 1999, her height was 5′ 2″, weight 119 lbs. with grey hair and brown eyes. On 23 May 2013, Fidelis lived at 1545 South Layton Boulevard, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. Sister Fidelis + died, at the age of 92 years, on Wednesday 14 August 2013 at the Sacred Heart Center in Milwaukee.

Sister Fidelis was survived by siblings Frieda Hauser and Lorraine Lackas and preceded in death by siblings Erwin, Clarence, John, Marie and Antonette and all her sisters of the School Sisters of St. Franics who she shared in life with her for 66 years.
