I worked with Sr. Bernadette as Youth Minister in Hudson for six years. I remember her boundless energy and constant dedication to her many ministries. When I interviewed at St. Patrick’s, she pulled me aside and told me I should come there because it’s a wonderful community. I listened! She always seemed to defy aging, and so it was hard to see her slow down. I am grateful for her presence in my life. My sympathies to her family, friends, and community.

Sister Bernadette will be greatly missed by her many friends in Hudson, especially those to whom she ministered at Saint Patrick Parish. She lived a life of total service, and we were blessed to have her in our community, parish, and homes. We send our condolences to all the School Sisters of St. Francis and to Sister B’s family and friends.

I am so proud to be Sister Bernadette’s niece. She was a true Christian woman, who symbolized everything that I loved about the Catholic Church. She gave of her time and great intellect to people from all over the world and ended her ministry at a parish in northern Wisconsin that loved her fierce intellect, strong faith, and unerring devotion to people with all their ups and downs. I will miss your Sister Bernie.
