In Honor of Sister Dorothy Bock.

I fondly referred to Dorothy as small but mighty. She was feisty and yet she expressed her strength with gentleness and understanding at the same time. She is deeply missed, yet her inspiration will live on. I am comforted just by knowing and remembering her. May her family and friends feel comfort as well. Yours in spirit, Bev. Brzostek

Alice Stacionis

Alice Stacionis …..From 1960 to 1964 Sr. Climicus was my Art Teacher. I recall some saying that Art is a “breeze class”. This woman helped me hone in on my talents I learned how to grow my creativity/my right brain skills.
It was not until the late seventies that I found out that Dorothy Bock a founder of Womanspace was the art teacher that had so much impact on my life.

Not being a techie but being very creative I would often find myself asking if I would trade any of my creativity for a bit more techie (that today’s world requires) the answer is a resounding NO. This happens almost weekly and Dorothy is in my thoughts when I proclaim this.

When the newspaper called her a “Powerhouse nun” they could not have been more on target.
