  • Visitation and Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (20851 W Main St, Lannon) Visitation at 10:00am with the Funeral Service to begin at 11:30am.

Valerio, Sharon Jean (nee Leitgeb) age 79, of Menomonee Falls, went home to Heaven on April 21, 2025, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, where she received kind and loving care.

Sharon was born on August 16, 1945, was baptized and confirmed at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI, and both she and Jerry graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 1963.

On September 14, 1968, Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Jerry, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church. For 30+ years she worked at Luther Haven Retirement Community as the office manager and receptionist.  She loved volunteering at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, at the St. John’s grade school library, and for her church. She enjoyed taking the grandkids to visit Great Grandma Valerio at Luther Haven, but most of all  attending their many athletic games, concerts, and other school events from grade school through college.

Sharon is survived by her husband Jerry and three sons, twins David (Cyndi) and Dale, and Brett (Andrea). Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Ashley; Karah, Timothy, and Brenna.

Sharon was the youngest of five siblings and is survived by her sister Marlene Beutin. Preceded in death by brother Richard Leitgeb and sisters Marianne Rutzinski and Judy Petroff.

 

Visitation and Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (20851 W Main St, Lannon) Visitation at 10:00am with the Funeral Service to begin at 11:30am.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to WELS Lutherans for Life, Wisconsin Lutheran High School (Tuition Assistance), or the charity of your choice.

    Aunt Sharon we love you very much. We will miss your weekend visits, our card games, your yummy Labor Day weekend treats, your laughter. You added an element of fun. You were always a joy to have in our home. We will miss you very much. Rest in peace

    So sorry for your loss. Sharon was always such a sweet kind lady. She was always so pleasant and had a smile on her face. She will be missed.

    My sincere sympathy. Our comfort is in knowing that Sharon now has the life we all will have some day. It has been a long time since our lives touched. You were a great classmate and person.. MY God comfort you and your family.

    Jerry so sorry for your loss, I know it is difficult saw it in Wisconsin Lutheran magazine, I lost my wife unexpectedly in 2020 she was only 68 , hopefully still doing good , I keep trying as you should love ya cousin Eddi
