Passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 20, 2014 at the age of 57. Beloved – husband to Mary Beth (nee – Karczewski). Loving father to Nikki, Kerry (Matt Jeske), and Timothy (Melanie) Van Riper. Proud grandpa to Emmerson and anxiously waiting the arrival of his second grandchild in December. Dear brother to Charles, Richard (Christine) Van Riper, and Diane Van Lare. Fond brother-in-law to Joel Karczewski and Jayne (Chuck) Breitzman. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Deloris, brother Dean (Agnes), in-laws Ralph and Dolores, and brother-in-law Fredric. Scott’s smile, humor, and big heart will be missed by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday at St. Charles Borromeo 3100 W. Parnell Ave. from 9-11 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM. Private family interment.
