(nee Macikowski) Reunited with her loving husband, Maurice and son Paul on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 age 96 years. Loving mother of Amy (Tom) Kunath.  Proud grandma of Sarah (Jensen) Rolli and Tim Kunath.  Dear sister of Elaine Panfil.  Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ruth was born in Milwaukee and attended St. Cyril Methodius Elementary where she learned Polish as a second language. She graduated from Pulaski High School. She met her husband, Maurice, at Allis-Chalmers where she worked as a secretary and he a draftsman. They went on their first date on Sweetest Day and saw the movie Above Suspicion, sparking her life-long love of film. Together with their two children, they moved to California for a brief time where Ruth attended Marymount College in Palos Verdes studying tailoring. After moving back to Milwaukee, Ruth participated in the Greendale Woman’s Club as the secretary treasurer. She volunteered at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and adored classical music. Ruth was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a devout Catholic. She cheered on the Brewers along with the UW-Madison and Notre Dame teams whenever she got the chance. Ruth loved to knit, sew, and bake, making sure no one left her house hungry. She enjoyed nothing more than to help pass on her hobbies to the next generations.

Ruth was a dear family friend and like a sister to my mother. She will be terribly missed and fondly remembered. Sending heartfelt condolences and much love to Amy Kunath and family.
