Rose D. Tolson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose D. Tolson (nee Winski) on Friday March 1st, 2024, at the age of 83. She was reunited with her beloved husband, Robert.  Loving mom of David (Kelly) Tolson and Donald (Jackie) Tolson.  Proud grandma of Randall (Melissa) Jacks, Nickolas, Dylan, Jakob, Maxwell and Ava. Great grandma of Brayden, Parker, Emilia and Corbin. Dear sister of Margaret Mielke and James (Jeannie) Winski. Preceding her in death were siblings Alexander, Linda, Angeline and Leonard.  Further survived by long time best friends Dianne Pawlak, Sherry Baer, Sara Shawley and many loved nieces, nephews, relatives, and wonderful friends.

Rose worked as a beautician, and for the City of Milwaukee for over thirty years. She was a devoted mom and grandma who deeply loved and cared for her family. She had an extraordinary sense of humor and wit which continued through her entire life. Upon her retirement, she was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and Damsels in Disorder Society. She enjoyed numerous trips, musicals and fun gatherings with her red hat sisters and wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorial donations to St Veronica’s Catholic Church appreciated.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 10:00-10:45 am at ST. VERONICA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4001 South Whitnall Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53207.  Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am.  Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.

Enjoy Paridise Rose, you were loved here on earth. Our friendship spanned 70 years! How lucky were we to have had that. Pray for us until we meet again.
