November 22, 2021, age 79 years.  Cherished stepfather of Cheryl (John) Floryance.  Brother of Richard (Sharon) Rosenmerkel.  Uncle of Randy (Amanda) Rosenmerkel and Jennifer (Efren) Nunez.  Great-uncle of Ashley (Tyler) and Isabella.  Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Rosenmerkel.

Ron was born to Ray and Jane Rosenmerkel in 1942 and resided on the southside of Milwaukee.  After graduating from Pulaski High School, he attended a technical college, earning certificates in automotive specialties.  He entered the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam where he specialized in aircraft maintenance.  After his return, Ron worked for Milwaukee County as a Deputy Sheriff, retiring in 1995 after 21 years of service.  It was there that he met Nancy, who became his best friend and future wife.  Ron and Nancy enjoyed many good times together, but most memorable were their travels, both domestic and abroad.  Ron pursued many interests including sports car driving, pistol shooting and aviation; later becoming a flight instructor.  In recent years, Ron Struggled with health issues, including Parkinson’s Disease.  Ron and his family with to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Hales Corners Care Center.

Family and friends will gather at Heritage Funeral Home, 4800 S. 84th Street in Greenfield on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 2:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 PM.  Private inurnment, Highland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the WI Parkinson Association are appreciated.

    So very sad to hear of Ron passing. He was a wonderful person. I enjoyed knowing Ron and had the pleasure to have worked with him. My sympathy and condolences to the family..
    Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and may the perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen

    We are terribly sorry to hear about the passing of Ron. In this sorrowful time, we would like to extend to you our heartfelt condolence to his family and friends. We know that many of our members have fond memories of Ron. He will be missed and not forgotten in the OV-1 Mohawk Community.

    I recall meeting Ron many years ago. I attended high school with Randy at Martin Luther. Randy would frequently speak fondly of his Uncle Ron; sharing anecdotal stories from his career with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office. .

    I personally appreciate Ron’s many years of service to our county. May his memory be a blessing and may he rest in peace.
