Went home to meet his Savior in Heaven on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the age of 85. Loving husband of Joan (nee Kearney). Dear brother of Diane Mattrisch. Beloved father of John Daniel (Ann) Winter, Michael (Brenda) Winter, Brian (Cheryl) Winter, and Rev. Wayne (Julie) Shevey. Proud grandfather of 15, and great-grandfather of 28. . Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents George and Bernice Shevey, in-laws Francis and Florence Kearney, and brother-in-law Henry Mattrisch.
Ronald was born on October 4, 1940 in his home in the town of Pound, WI. Ron spent the majority of his life in southeast Wisconsin, graduating from Greendale High School in 1958 and living in Franklin for most of his adult life. He proudly worked for Frito Lay, Inc for 22 years. Countless memories were made with his family and friends at the cottage that was built on the Peshtigo River.

Ron and Joan have attended our annual August reunions to continue keeping the Panthers together. Always there to enjoy and continue the many friendships.

I’m so sorry for you loss Joannie. Gerry just told us about his passing today 10.31.2025. All the memories of fun times came rushing back. Please know that had we known we be there to support you. My sympathies.
