The Beautiful life of Roderick Billups began July 14, 1963 in Chicago Illinois. Roderick was the 1st child born to Daisy Billups.

Roderick moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin later in life where he met and married the love of his life Maria Roman on July 5, 2014. Maria affectionately called Roderick “Mr. Smarty” because he was skillful in repairing or installing electrical items and a wiz in mathematics. Roderick in turn called Maria “Mrs. Smarty.”

Roderick was introduced to Christ by his Mom and Grandparents at an early age and continued to live according to the Word of God until the end of his life.

Roderick was employed for many years at Cargill and Bonded Transportation until his illness wouldn’t allow him to work.

Roderick was a talented basketball player, he played basketball on his high school team George Westinghouse High School.

Roderick was an absolute sportsman of Basketball, Football and was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs. Roderick had a wonderful sense of humor, he was loving, kind, and giving. Roderick would say, ” how blessed he was”.

Roderick was a true definition of a good husband, son, brother, and uncle. Roderick Entered into his Rest Monday, March 4, 2019, at the age of 55.

Roderick’s beloved Stepfather Fred Potts, Grandparents Jessie and Joanna Billups, nephews Kensun King Billups and Ki Monte Billups preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife Maria Roman-Billups of Milwaukee, WI; Mother Daisy Billups-Potts of Slinger, WI; Father Dock Donaly (Thaddie) of Dixmoor IL; Brothers Kenneth Billups of Slinger, WI, Marvin Billups of North Aurora, IL, Moshan Billups Sr of St. Paul, MN; Sisters, Vernita Billups of Milwaukee WI, and Dorlisa Billups Elerby of Aurora, IL; Brothers-in-law Edwin Roman Sr. of Puerto Rico, Louis Roman of Puerto Rico, Mitchell Roman of Puerto Rico; Sister-in-law Lydia Roman of Milwaukee, WI; nephews, Efrain Rivera of Miami, FL, Gio Rivera of Puerto Rico, Ken Rivera of Milwaukee, WI, Joseph Alvarez of Milwaukee, WI, Edwin Roman Jr of Miami, FL and Ednniris Roman of Puerto Rico; Uncle Johnny Billups Sr(Louise) of Chicago, IL; Aunts Velma Brandt of Chicago, IL, and Ethel Billups of Chicago, IL; lifelong family member David Turner of Milwaukee, WI; and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, step siblings, and friends.
