Hollman, Robert F. “Bob”
GREENFIELD – Robert F. Hollman, age 72 passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 after a 20 month battle with debilitating depression. Born on April 12, 1939, in Colby, WI to Frank and Margaret Bauer Hollman, Robert graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1957. He received a BBA in Accounting at UW-Milwaukee in 1962. Bob served in the United States Air Force Reserves from 1957 to 1964 with the 440th Troop Carrier Wing as a C-119 Flight Engineer. Called into active service during the Cuban Missile Crisis, he stood ready with the 440th awaiting the order from President Kennedy for the possible invasion of Cuba in 1962.

He was employed from 1962 to 1979 for Touche Ross & Co. as an audit and consulting manager. In 1979 he accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer at American Medical Services where he served for five year before returning to public accounting. Working as a self-employed CPA and financial consultant until 2010, he was a member of the Wisconsin and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He was active in the Financial Executive Institute and UWM School of Business Administration Advisory Council. Organizations he was involved with included Interfaith Southwest for the Care of the Elderly past president, Knights of Columbus Pere Marquette Council #524 Foundation Treasurer, Redemptorist Retreat Center past advisory board member, Rosalie Manor Community and Family Services past board president, Rotary District 6270 World Community Service Committee – District Simplified Grants and Public Relations Coordinator, Whitnall Park Rotary Club President, St. Mary’s Parish Human Concerns and Haiti Committees, and Volunteer Center of Waukesha County past board member. Recognized by his fellow Whitnall Park Rotarians, Bob received an Honorary Paul Harris award for his service to the club, district, and international service projects.

His accomplishments span 40 years of auditing, tax and consulting in public accounting, executive financial management and financial consulting services. He directed the national CPA office for Midwestern College recruiting program and was responsible for selecting over 100 professionals over 8 years. Active with many high school, college and individual career counseling sessions, he also volunteered with The Open Gate, Milwaukee Secured Detention Facility, and Milwaukee Church Prison Mentorship Programs. Over the last ten years of Bob’s life, he served on 13 church and school mission trips to the central region of Haiti supporting orphanages, water purification, school sponsorship, and micro lending projects. A member of St Mary’s Church in Hales Corners, he served as a lector, Eucharistic minister, and Choir member spanning 40 years. Bob loved to travel, golf, and fish.

Survived by his mother, Margaret, his wife of 45 years Madeleine, children, Mike Kim, Tess Kurt Radecke, Steve Carrie, Joe Lisa, Katie Dave Melmer and Julie Marc Sherry, sixteen grandchildren, and siblings, Carol Jerry Braun, Dennis Jill, Gary Pat, and Joan the late Robbie O’Neil. His father preceded Bob in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 am on Monday, March 19th, 2012 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY , 9520 W. Forest Home Ave, Hales Corners. please meet at church.

Visitation Sun. Mar. 18th, 4:00 to 6:30 pm with vigil service at 6:30 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a tax deductible memorial may be made to the “Whitnall Park Rotary Club Foundation”. Other memorials for Pastor Franck Marcelin’s Orphanage in Mirebalais, Haiti or the Haiti Micro Lending Program may be sent to Michael Hollman, 1205 Iroquois Court, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.
