Robert “Bob” James Hetzel

Passed away peacefully on August 23rd, 2026, at the age of 67.

A proud graduate of Bay View High class of 1977, Bob embarked on a career in the Tool and Die field as a Machinist. His work ethic, dedication, commitment and attention to detail were evident to all who worked alongside him. He certainly was a valued member of any team.

An avid bowler, Bob relished in the camaraderie found on the lanes. In his younger years he could often be found enjoying a game of basketball with friends.

He enjoyed the serenity of being outdoors, and spending time “up north”.

Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Florence (nee Kosinski), brother Alan R. Hetzel, brother-in-law Charles M. Miller, and nephew Robert “Bobby” Hetzel. He is survived by his loving sister Donna R. Miller and his niece Amanda Miller. Further survived by his aunts, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, a cause close to his entire family.

Rest in peace Bob. You are now reunited with your mom, dad, your brother Alan and so many family and friends that passed on before you. We will all be together again. To Donna, you have been an angel to your family. When our time here is done, you will be welcomed into Heaven surrounded by love.

Deepest sympathy to Donna and the family. I’ll never forget all the holiday parties at the lakes and your house. Volleyball was always fun. Bob always made us laugh. I remember an English class we had together. I sat behind him and would tease him alot. He never let me forget about it! I treasure the good memories. Bob is now with the family, happy and out of pain. Donna, you took the best care of your brother and your family and friends. We love you and are here for you. Your dear friend. Debbie
