I would like to offer my prayers and support to the entire family of Rita Lorenzini during this very difficult time. Rita was blessed to have 2 sons (Richard and Phillip) and one daughter (Mary Rose) with her beloved husband Aldo who loved her more than life itself. Rita was a loving spouse and mother. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. We can all remember how tasty her meals were at the family gatherings from years ago. I in turn was blessed to have Mary Rose as my beloved wife for 17 years. Mary Rose shared her love with her entire family without hesitation always trying to do whatever she could until her passing in January 1996. She was like her mother and also loved to cook for her extended family. One of her last requests was to be buried in Mount Olivet where her father Aldo (who proceeded her in death by 10 years) was buried. God works in mysterious ways and when the time came a plot for Mary Rose was located not far from her father. So now Rita will rest next to her husband and join both Aldo and Mary Rose in heaven. My deep faith in our Heavenly Father brings some calm and peace to my heart. I am sure they will be looking over all us. Let us rejoice and be happy at this time knowing that Rita is now in Heaven with her Aldo and beloved daughter Mary Rose.
May God bless all of those who take time to read and reflect on the words I shared with you today.

Your Mom always brought a smile to my face!!! I remember as a child my family would go to Milwaukee and have Thanksgiving dinner with your Mom’s parents, Santa and Amerigo. Those were special times and places. Your father, Also, was also a very special person to my Mom.

I am very sorry to hear about Rita. My condolences to all of you and my prayers are with you during this time of healing. Embrace your feelings of relief as well, since Rita is no longer suffering.

I remember seeing her making ravioli dough not long ago…a little older lady reaching almost over her head to knead the dough better than I could. And she stood there talking like she could’ve done it all day! She is one of the last of those special, spirited, funny and ever so honest ladies of her generation. Celebrate her life and don’t fuss too much over things. She would have politely suggested that if she still had the voice to do so!

With a heavy heart,

Cousin John Rossini
