Born to Eternal Life Friday, September 2, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved father of Cathy (the late Mark) Megna, Susan (Tim) Karp and David Burzynski. Loving grandpa of Jessica Megna, Tony (Adisa) Megna, Gina (Austin) Jost and Samuel Burzynski. Dear great grandpa to Cooper Jost. Brother of Mildred Luhman and brother in law of Jan Burzynski. Dear friend of Fr. Mark Payne. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his brother Ralph and brother in law Don Luhman.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday September 13th 2022 at BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH, 3100 S. 41st St. from 3-4pm with the Mass of Christian Burial at 4pm. Military Honors to follow. Private family inurnment St. Adalberts Cemetery.
Richard was a man of many stories and great humor; he had a “death grip” of a handshake. He loved family camping trips, social celebration, spending time with his family and always found time to make other people laugh. Richard was a longtime employee at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, manager of In-Plant Printing. He was a devout Catholic, volunteering with the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Blessed Sacrament and other church events.
